The EBS Mission
Expressive Business Strategies Mission Statement:
“To accelerate the transformation of people and nations by communicating faith based business principles through local relationships.”
Our Principles
“To whom much is given much is required” – An ancient book states this as “For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more”. At EBS our instructors and leaders have been given much, whether it is wealth, experience, skills or whatever and to give back to society it is required that we use our “much” to help others.
“Speak the truth in love” – another old text states: “Good leaders cultivate honest speech; they love advisors who tell them the truth”. At EBS, we want to inspire a generation of businesses filled with integrity committed to listen to our students intently, encouraging them often and gently telling them the truth about their ideas, hope and dreams.
“Servant Leadership” – a more recent writing says that “Servant Leadership makes sure that other people’s highest priority needs are being served. The best test, and difficult to administer, is: do those served grow as persons; do they, while being served, become healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous, more likely themselves to become servants? And, what is the effect on the least privileged in society; will they benefit, or, at least, will they not be further deprived?” At EBS, we strive to present topics and lead discussions that will serve people and leave a legacy of economic growth that will mature over time.
“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” – another truth from ancient writings, what this is talking about is personal growth. Personal growth is a great thing, but relatively few people dedicate themselves to the process. Why? Because growth requires change, and change is hard for most people. The ironic thing is that change is inevitable. On the other hand growth is optional. You can choose to grow or to fight it. But people unwilling to grow will never reach the full potential they were designed for. Making the change from being an occasional learner to someone dedicated to personal growth is not easy, but it is essential for reaching your potential. Renewing your mind is the key to transformation.
